Can I bring additional friends or family members on my reservation?

 

No. If you want to attend with someone, that person(s) needs to have their own reservation in the same hourly time slot as yours. A reservation is for one person only for one hour only. We do not accept multiple reservations from the same name or e-mail address. The reservation software will delete all but the first scheduled appointment booked on the same e-mail address.

Do I have to wear a mask?

​

Out of care and respect for the well-being of others who attend and staff the event, we do encourage you to wear a mask that covers your nose and mouth, but we do not require it.

 

How can I judge the way a frame really looks on me with my mask on? Will there be a place where I can lower my mask to judge the true look and fit of the glasses?

 

Yes. You will have access to a designated individual “try-on station” that has a plexiglass barrier and a personal mirror so you can pull your mask down safely to check. 

 

Are there still great frames left on Sunday?

 

Absolutely! We deliberately overstock the sale so that the depth and variety of styles available on the last day are as gorgeous as those presented on the first.

Do you offer a discount on prescription lenses or sun lenses?

 

Yes. BIG SALE shoppers enjoy discounts on lenses for their new frames from Tuesday, October 29 to Saturday, December 7, 2024, with a pre-arranged appointment during regular business hours. A $30 voucher guaranteeing a 30% discount on prescription lenses will be available for purchase at check out at the BIG SALE (the $30 will be applied to the purchase of lenses after the sale) through December 7, 2024. Otherwise, a BIG SALE receipt earns a 20% discount on prescription lenses and sun lenses for frames purchased at the event through December 7, 2024.

 

PLEASE NOTE: Customers of the Melrose Avenue l.a.Eyeworks store with appointments have priority over walk-ins or unscheduled visits.

Are any of the frames available for preview or purchase online?

 

They are not. Sale inventory is available only on-site at the event. No internet sales.

 

What if I need more than my allotted hour to shop?

 

For this modified version of the sale, you will have one hour total to shop and complete your purchase. Because attendance in any single hour is controlled to avoid crowding, we have found this to be sufficient time to find frames. 

 

Is the event area wheelchair accessible?

 

Yes.

 

Since the sale is outdoors, can I bring my dog or other pet?

 

We kindly ask that you not bring pets to the BIG SALE (with the exception of guide, signal or service dogs). Likewise, we are not able to watch your pet while you shop.

Can I exchange frame purchases or get a refund from previous sales?

 

All BIG SALE purchases are final. We cannot exchange or refund previous purchases.
